At Dapth, we’ve always believed that great digital experiences start with a deep understanding of people. From websites and intranets to powerful business applications, every solution we create is grounded in empathy, strategy, and simplicity. That’s why we’re excited to share the latest evolution in our design capability: the expansion of our design team and the introduction of Service Design as a dedicated offering.

Why Service Design?

As organisations become more connected and complex, the experiences they deliver, both to their customers and internally - need to be seamless, human-centred, and meaningful. Service Design allows us to take a step back and look at the entire service ecosystem, not just the digital touchpoints. It helps ensure that what’s designed is truly what’s needed for users, staff, and the business.

By combining strategy, research, user experience (UX), systems thinking, and design methodologies, Service Design helps map out pain points, identify opportunities, and co-create solutions that work in the real world.

This is a natural next step for Dapth. For years, we’ve been working at the intersection of business needs and digital innovation. Introducing Service Design formalises and deepens this approach, allowing us to work earlier and more strategically with our clients.

Expanding our Design Capability

To support this new offering, we’ve grown our design team with a diverse set of skills — spanning service designers, UX and UI designers, content strategists, and digital storytellers. These new team members bring experience across sectors including health, education, transport, retail, and government, and have worked on everything from internal service reform to major public digital experiences.

The expanded team means we can now better support organisations who are navigating complex challenges, such as:

  • Designing digital solutions that are inclusive and accessible

  • Mapping and improving service journeys end-to-end

  • Creating internal tools and systems that staff actually want to use

  • Bridging the gap between customer experience and business process

This isn't just about design in the visual sense - it's about intentional problem-solving using design thinking, co-creation, and clear, evidence-based insight.
