"Dapth recently built our Sharepoint communication site and were very professional and efficient."
This case study highlights Dapth’s commitment to providing innovative, user-centric solutions that drive long-term client satisfaction and operational success.
The process
Relationships Australia (WA) faced multiple challenges with their existing intranet, which hindered staff productivity and engagement. The platform offered limited functionality, preventing staff from adding widgets or customising it to fit their needs. Additionally, permissions were overly restrictive and lacked flexibility. The design was static, with key components like landing page fields remaining unchanged and unable to update dynamically, which impacted important updates and carousel banner images.
Staff felt a lack of ownership as they were unable to contribute due to insufficient training.
Dapth stepped in and designed a tailored solution to address and overcome these issues.
We implemented a SharePoint solution over a 6-week period using a sprint-based approach for an efficient transformation. The intranet’s architecture was restructured to enhance robustness and align with departmental ownership and permissions management.
Flexible widget and design options were introduced, integrating Microsoft 365 features and standardising templates for daily use. Permissions were streamlined by managing them internally, reducing reliance on third parties. Static components were updated to dynamic ones, enabling real-time updates for news and events.
From in-depth exploration of Relationships WA’s unique requirements and challenges, to testing and implementation, here’s how we turned the challenge into a seamless solution.
Analysed the current intranet setup and developed a strategy to restructure architecture, permissions, and design for better alignment with user needs.
Built the intranet in a development environment, incorporating dynamic components, Microsoft 365 features, and standardised templates for consistency.
Assessed and automated the migration of essential files and pages, ensuring compatibility and performance in the client environment.
Conducted training sessions for staff, covering basic and advanced content management skills to maximise the platform's new features.
Deployed the solution with minimal disruption, providing support during launch to assist staff in transitioning smoothly.
A profound impact
Dapth’s solution transformed Relationships WA’s intranet, significantly boosting staff engagement and productivity. The team praised the training as well-structured and insightful, with the Executive Manager offering high praise and the project manager confirming the entire team’s excitement about the new platform. All project objectives were met within the expected timeframe, and Relationships WA has committed to further collaboration, showcasing the trust and value established through this initiative.
To empower staff further, we provided comprehensive training sessions on both content management and advanced features, ensuring efficient platform management.
