About Green Genie Earthworks

Putting a connected platform in every Green Genie driver's pocket

Green Genie is Perth's top-rated earthworks company, delivering civil and contracting project support for residential and commercial sites across Western Australia. Bobcat services, commercial car park construction, site clean-up, landscaping, and site preparation, including house and shed pads. Established in 2014, the business has built a reputation for getting the right foundation under every project that follows.

Green Genie engaged Dapth to put a real operational platform under a growing field-services business. The engagement ran in two connected phases: consolidating the back office onto Odoo as an ERP backbone, then building Maui, a custom mobile app that puts the platform in the hands of every driver in the fleet.

Multiple tools doing half the job

Green Genie's operational stack had grown the way stacks do when a business outpaces its systems. Scheduling in Timely. Accounting somewhere else. Employee management somewhere else again. And driver communication running through WhatsApp, with no record keeping. Each system did one thing, none of them talked to each other, and the administration team carried the cost of keeping everything in sync.

The field side had its own version of the same problem. Timesheets came in late. SWMS was on paper. Incidents were verbal. There was no audit trail when something went wrong on site, and drivers, many of them less tech-comfortable than office staff, had no structured way to feed back from the field.

  • scheduling scattered across Timely, spreadsheets, and someone's head
  • accounting, quoting, sales orders, and invoicing on separate platforms
  • employee management disconnected from the rest of the operation
  • driver communication running through WhatsApp with no record
  • incidents and vehicle issues verbal or buried in group chats
  • timesheets late, inconsistent, or missing
  • no audit trail when something went wrong on site

The rebuild had to consolidate the office stack, extend a connected experience to every driver, and bake compliance into the workflow itself. All without paying enterprise licensing costs for every crew member in the fleet.
