Our development team packed the website with a diverse range of features and integrations that seamlessly synced with other 3rd party tools. Integration allows for a more robust user experience, as data is pulled from sources direct, without waiting on content administrators to make the update manually.
Our personal highlight will always be the Technology One ECM integration - by far the largest integration on the site. Technology One ECM did have APIs available, but they were extremely slow, so our team wrote custom APIs to obtain data directly from Technology One ECM using over 200 lines of custom developed SQL commands. Document data is obtained, and document metadata fields are mapped from ECM fields to a Kentico Page Type, including custom workflow and other logic based on the metadata field values. To everyone else, this means thousands of document records are seamlessly imported and leveraged from a 3rd party database.
At the end of the project, we delivered a fully mobile responsive design, considerably reduced website licensing and maintenance costs, migrated old content to a new platform, fully trained staff to use independently, put in place advanced user journeys to manage content with ease, and ensured the website was fully secure (no matter what those hackers may attempt).
